Moving you forward in life

Coaching with me is a working relationship, not a course. We work on the struggles and challenges specific to you and your life, using Stoic philosophy as a framework for overcoming those struggles and challenges.

Two ways to do the work

Private coaching

A one-to-one, three month engagement. The curriculum is written for you specifically and it adapts weekly as you make progress. We set specific goals at the outset and work toward achieving them by the end of the engagement.

  • · Weekly video calls
  • · Bespoke weekly curriculum
  • · Guided reading & homework
  • · Requires a 3-5 hour weekly time commitment

Group coaching

Cohort-based coaching aims for the same outcome as private coaching, but in a group setting. We work through a fixed curriculum together over the course of three months, with all members working toward the same general goals.

  • · Weekly group video calls
  • · Purpose built curriculum
  • · Guided reading & homework
  • · Requires a 1-2 hour weekly time commitment

Who this is for

  • Coaching, be it private or group, is meant for people who are serious about addressing things they've been passively (or otherwise ineffectually) struggling against for a while. It is for people who have identified a short-coming in their character, or an ongoing theme of problem in their lives, and, try as they might, they just cannot resolve it.
  • For the most part, people who engage me for coaching are familiar with Stoicism. They have read some Marcus Aurelius, maybe some Seneca or Epictetus, but they do not yet understand exactly how Stoicism can be applied to their lives specifically. Importantly: they feel strongly that it can be applied to their lives specifically and effectively, but they need guidance and mentorship in making this happen.
  • And lastly, coaching is for people who are ready to have their views and notions challenged directly. What you're doing isn't working, it hasn't worked, and it probably won't ever work. That means something you believe (or don't believe), something deeply held in your mind as true or worthwhile, needs to be dealt with. My coaching isn't therapy, but I have been told it can feel like that frequently. Maybe that makes sense. We are, after all, working to change your life.

Start with a conversation.

Book a 30-minute call with me. We'll talk about what you're struggling with and what you're trying to overcome, and consider whether I, through Stoic coaching, can help you move forward.
